InQuik 13.7m x 10.5m SM1600-rated Integral bridge
The bridge is a double lane bridge with a pedestrian walkway.
The deck is supported on 2 x 10.5m-long abutments, one of which is 1.8m-high (to the underside of the deck) and 900mm-wide, and the other is 3.5m-high and 1200mm-wide, both with a 700mm stepped backwall that has an open front face for integration with the deck panels.
Each abutment is connected to 2 x wing walls, which are 2.7m-long and to the height of the deck (2.5m for the 1.8m-high abutment, and 4.2m for the 3.5m-high abutment), angled at 45 degrees to the abutments. The design includes a side-mounted barrier along one side of the deck, and a top-mounted barrier between the road and pedestrian walkway.
Project Description
This project is for a sub division development of 10 blocks. The InQuik product was chosen as a cost-effective compliant structure that will become a Council asset once the development is complete.
Key Project Points
- Local suppliers and Ormond Civil delivered the project
- The Integral design minimises maintenance costs and was safer to install
- The pre-engineered modular design only required lightweight cranes for the “place and pour” install process.
