InQuik Bridging Systems is pleased to announce that Bridge Knowledge is our first Australian sales partner for the InQuik solution covering the North East NSW region.
Peter Mahar, Bridge Knowledge Director, is a Civil Engineer with over 25 years of industry experience within the private sector, both in Australia and internationally including the government sector in Australia.
Prior to forming Bridge Knowledge Peter was the Road Services Manager, Northern Region, NSW for RMS – Roads and Maritime Services managing a team delivering bridge/road construction and maintenance in a commercial environment ($100M annual turnover and over 250 staff). Other key RMS NSW roles included Bridge Maintenance Planner, Bridge Works Manager and Contract Manager, Bridges.
Peter has broad knowledge and extensive experience in all facets of bridge engineering in relation to investigation, design, construction and asset management of concrete, steel and timber bridges from simple structures through to large span complex bridges.
From 1996 to 2000 VSL International employed Peter in senior site management roles responsible for major bridge projects in South East Asia. This included Project Manager for the superstructure construction of the Pakse Bridge spanning 1,380m across the Mekong River in Southern Laos and Site Manager for the delivery of the superstructure of the Malaysia to Singapore Second Crossing Bridge.
Before 1996 Peter held roles with John Holland in Queensland and Baulderstone Hornibrook in South and Western Australia. In these roles he was involved in a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects involving a number of delivery mechanisms.
